Abstract

During creating new basic courses of graphic design as supplements of other fields of study, there are often questions about buying necessary software. In basic courses, we don't reach cooperation with professional graphic studios and printing companies, so it is not very important which software we will use, if it meets the courses' requirements. In basic courses, it is more important to understand general principles of graphic editors, and it is also good to try several different editors of this type. Therefore it is also good to explore the free software domain, especially software available for more types of computer systems.
