Abstract

This contribution describes three experiments using pocket scales with range of 200 grams and sensitivity of 0.1 grams to study evaporation quantitatively. Concretely, the experiments focus on easy determination of the latent heat of evaporation, on measuring the dependence of the evaporation rate on the surface area and the removal of water vapors above the water-level.
