Sandglass in the physics lesson

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to describe some properties of granular materials. The flow of granular materials (sand) is different from the flow of fluids, that is why sand can be used in sandglasses to measure time intervals. To analyze the attributes of sand, some experiments are described in this paper. All problems are displayed in an understandable way and can be presented within high school physics lessons.
