Abstract

Magic cube is a generalization of magic square in three dimensions. We investigate the possibilities to derive an algorithm for constructing magic cubes from the known algorithm for a construction of magic squares. Presented problems provides a teacher an opportunity to repeat the algebraic and geometric skills, students can discover patterns and work with symmetries in a new context.
