Cataloguing books for the library system using open data

Abstract

The article introduces the reader to library automatisation of libraries and digitization of library records with an example of the implementation of a web catalogue for the library in Mladá Smolivec. It was created as an alternative provision of services to the public during the epidemic restrictions under which the library services were severely limited. The text shows the use of open data to streamline book records together with partial scripts for communication with the relevant web services.
