Abstract

The article addresses the problem of closed knight tours on chessboards of size 3×n. It utilizes Schwenk's theorem to determine when such tours are possible. It describes a constructive method for generating them by extending closed knight's tours on 3×10 and 3×12 boards using open knight's tours on a 3×4 board.
