Abstract

Algorithm development, one of the possible approaches in programming, is one of the most common ways to start learning of programming for beginning students. It can be taught in several different ways. The paper evaluated and compared two ways of algorithm development using flowcharts or using pseudocode. The paper deals with the introduction of variables and basic algorithmic structures: sequence, condition and loops.
