Calculations rounding in solving quantitative tasks at high schools

Abstract

At first, the article deals with the procedure of determining the number of valid digits in a number, the adequacy of the scientific notation of numerical values of quantities and with applying of these procedures in the numerical solution of the task. In the second part of the article, a commented solution of a complex task is presented.
