Peer instruction and teaching similarity

Abstract

The article is about the active learning method peer instruction, which effectiveness is mainly based on group discussions on a difficult conceptual question - on the so-called ConceptTest. The introduction of the article presents the peer instruction method. The following section provides an overview of practical advice for the effective implementation of the method in the teaching of mathematics and summarizes the relevant results of the author’s research. The final part contains a specific example of the implementation of peer instruction in the teaching of similarity at the upper stage of primary school.
