Abstract

High-quality training of pre-service teachers is an important factor in building a high-quality educational process. In the framework of the presented contribution, we focus specifically on physics pre-service teachers. We carried out a survey in which we investigated the impact of providing high-quality feedback on students' written preparations for physics lessons. We were interested in whether, after providing high-quality feedback, students would get a higher point score for the evaluated preparation and whether the prepared preparations would be of higher quality. We have found that providing quality feedback to students helps create better preparation for physics lessons. The average point score for the students in the research sample increased after each feedback session. We compared the findings with a control sample of students who were not given such feedback.
