Abstract

The first part of the article presents the characteristics of the key research focus of the didactics of mathematics in the 21st century. The second part contains an analysis of the education of mathematics in the 21st century in connection with curricular reforms, the main goals of teaching mathematics, views on its current reality and perspectives of its development.
