The Orthocenter of a Triangle

Abstract

The three altitudes of a triangle are concurrent at a point called the orthocenter. The article describes Newton's proof of this theorem, including the consequences that can be obtained from it. He also presents some applications and other proofs of the orthocenter theorem.
