Abstract

Earth ionosphere acts as a sensitive detector of X-rays emitted by Sun during solar flares. This radiation significantly increases the reflectivity of the ionosphere for very long radio waves. Solar activity can be tracked by means of reception distant VLF transmitters with very simple device. In this paper we would like to introduce project aimed to monitor this transmission, in which high schools can be engaged.
