60 years of modernization efforts in physics education

Abstract

The contribution is an overview of efforts to modernize the teaching of physics from its inception in 1963 to the present. The modernization is based on global efforts to improve pupils' knowledge of physics with regard to the development of modern technologies, astronautics and the electronicization of society. The contribution describes how the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists (JČMF) participated in the modernization of teaching. The work on the projects of the Ministry of Education and the results of the work of the Cabinet for the Modernization of Physics Teaching at the JČMF are clearly described.
