Note to the forces acting on the pendulum

Abstract

The article responds to the paper of V. Žák from the perspective of textbooks co-authored by the author of this article. The main objective of this article is the interpretation of vector diagrams of forces acting on the pendulum. It discusses the problem of a centripetal force as the function of a displacement of the pendulum from the equilibrium position. The analysis of the problem shows that there is no need to consider a centripetal force in the theory of the pendulum at secondary schools.
