Physics textbooks and teaching in high school

Abstract

The article describes the prerequisites for creating a new set of physics textbooks for high schools. It is based on the experience with creating a set of teaching texts in the 1980s. It also deals with the criticism of these textbooks and as an example, it gives the curriculum on a simple pendulum. In the next part of the paper, there are suggested ways of modernizing physics education at secondary schools. It is innovation, integration and differentiation of physics curriculum.
