Historical experiments in the current school

Abstract

This article deals with the possibilities of exploitation of historical physics experiments and the history of physics in general within high school teaching. We introduce selected experiments realized by physicists from the 16th to the 18th centuries and their possible inclusion in teaching. As an appendix, we offer a set of 10 posters about prominent personalities in the history of physics from this period.
